GMCS founder
Dan Etman has over 30 years experience in the electrical industry. Beginning in 1981 as an electricians mate in the U.S.
Coast Guard, Dan has gone on to earn Masters' licenses in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. He spent over 13

for Garaventa CTEC in the late 1990's. He served as CTEC's East coast electrical service representative specializing in PLC

After leaving the ski industry to spend more time with his family, Dan went to work for a large commercial contractor out of Brattleboro, VT where he did serice work at Cersosimo and Allard Lumber companies and other facilities in southeastern Vermont.
Dan then took a job for Judd Wire in Turners Falls, MA as a maintenance electrican. There, he gained experience on a large variety of PLC's and AC and DC drive systems by such manufacturers as Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Keyence, Automation Direct, Reliance, Yaskawa, Eurotherm, Saftronics, Fuji and others.
Just before forming Green Mountain
Control Systems, Dan spent 4 years as the facilities supervisor for Dartmouth Printing Co.
in Hanover, NH. At this large commercial printing and binding facility, Dan served as the hands on supervisor for 12
electrical and mechanical technicians. He had the opportunity to work on web presses by Heidelberg, Harris and Timsons;
a Komori sheet fed press; and bindery equipment from Gammerler, Muller Martini, Harris, McCain and Buhrs. Dan's crew was also
responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the chilled water, compressed air, HVAC and electrical systems at the 130,000
square foot facility.
In 2011 GMCS moved into our new 500
square foot shop in the former Goodyear plant at 28 River St. in Windsor, VT. Windsor is in the heart of the "Precision
Valley" on the upper Connecticut River in central Vermont, less than 5 miles from Interstate highway 91.
Originally formed in February of 2008 as sole proprietorship, GMCS has since been restructured as an LLC providing 24/7 electrical service and repair, as well as project design and installation to ski areas, commercial printers and other industries. We also provide electrical service and installation to residential and commercial customers. Be a part of it. Let us help you with your next project or machine control problem.
